The consortium members of the TRIFLIM project is made up of four members, each of whom has a complementary effect and, although all of them will be involved in most of the project tasks, they will take the lead according to their most relevant experience:

AINIA is a technology centre established in 1987 as a non-profit organisation. It is one of the European Technology Centres with the largest corporate social system with more than 700 associated companies and 1,300 clients. It also belongs to the Spanish Federation of Technology Centres (FEDIT), the Network of Technology Institutes of the Valencian Community (REDIT), the European Food Institutes (EFI) as well as several entitites and associations, and it has entered into agreements and covenants with national and internacional organisations.

The Training Unit offers different services, such as tailored vocational training, specialised occupational training, diagnostic of training needs, and planning of in-house training, among many others. Part of the training activities are developed in-person modality. These services can be carried out by using classroom, on-line and/or blended methodologies. Moreover, the training services were accredited in 2000 through the Q*For methodology, based on customer satisfaction and transparency of information (Q*For 2000/2003 and 2003/2006). Since 2006, AINIA has the Certificate of Company Registration with No ER-1034/2006 issued by AENOR, which demonstrates the compliance of its quality management system with the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008 for the design and execution of training activities in the agri-food and related areas.

Virtual Campus is a development, training and consulting SME in the areas of Technology Enhanced Learning, Serious Games and Information Systems. Its vision is to actively promote the development of the Knowledge Society by supporting public and private entities in the process of designing and developing strategies and projects that lead to increased societal benefits.

We aim to actively promote the use of digital environments for Education and Training. Our target audience goes from children in school to adults, from students to vocational trainees, trainers and professionals in different sectors. We customize e-platforms, organize e-courses, design and develop multimedia contents, define learning strategies, promote virtual communities of practice, design and develop mobile apps, serious games and virtual environments for education and training. We have over 10 years experience in managing EU funded projects and we have established a large network with universities, public institutions, enterprises’ associations, non-profit organizations, among others, at national and European level.

Founded in 1941, IZS Teramo is a public institution belonging to the Italian National Health System. It provides scientific and technical support on issues of public health, animal health and welfare, food hygiene and food safety to veterinary and public health authorities in Italy and abroad, promoting the “One Health approach”.

IZS Teramo is one of the ten official veterinary laboratories operating within the network of the Italian Ministry of Health. IZS Teramo handles laboratory testing activities and surveillance of animal diseases, risk assessment, management of sanitary and non-sanitary alerts, crisis management, and contingency planning, both in food safety and animal health and welfare. Headquarters and main laboratories are located in Teramo (Italy), while eight different local units are based in all the provinces of Abruzzo and Molise Regions. At international level IZS Teramo is:

• WOAH Collaborating Centre (CC) for Veterinary Training and Capacity Building
• WOAH CC for Animal Production Food Safety
• WOAH CC for Epidemiology, modelling and surveillance
• WOAH Reference Laboratory for Brucellosis, Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia (CBPP), Bluetongue, and West Nile Disease
• FAO Reference Centre for Veterinarian Epidemiology
• EU Reference Centre for Animal Welfare of Equines and Small Ruminants
At national level, IZSAM is:
• National Reference Centre for Whole Genome Sequencing of microbial pathogens: data-base and bioinformatics analysis; Transboundary Animal Diseases (CESME), Veterinary Epidemiology and Risk Analysis, Brucellosis, Urban Hygiene and Non-Epidemic Emergencies. The National Database for the Animal Identification and Registration System is also based at IZS Teramo.
• National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR), Capripox viruses (Sheep & Goat Pox and Lumpy Skin Disease), African Horse Sickness (AHS), Listeria monocytogenes, Campylobacter, Dioxins (PCDDs/PCFFs) and Polychlorobiphenyls (PCBs).

The Institute research is funded by the Italian Government, the European Union, as well as other international sources. The research activity mainly aims at solving technical and management problems in the field of Veterinary Public Health.
In the last 25 years, the Institute has been developing stable relationships with the most important research institutions in Europe and third countries, while international cooperation has become a pillar of the Institute activities especially on capacity building of OIE and FAO members country veterinary services.

CRETHIDEV is a Greek non-profit company aiming at research and development of action plans mainly on the fields of life-long learning, employment, sports, environmental protection, local development, health and culture. The company establishes close cooperation with local and regional authorities, government authorities and business associations in order to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development through research projects and the raising of awareness in local communities towards available development projects.

The members of CRETHIDEV come from different disciplines and have great experience on coordinating and implementing National, European and International projects of a wide spectrum. Although CRETHIDEV was founded in 2012, the company has participated in the development and implementation of more than 30 national and European projects as partner or leader, in close cooperation with Greek, European, Middle East, Central Asia and North African Universities and organizations. The organization endeavours, among others, to:

(a) Promote innovative educational methods for the prevention and elimination of any kind of discrimination, exclusion and inequality,

(b) Promote innovative activities that aim to combine the fields of education and vocational trainings, employability and entrepreneurship, and

(c) Organize meetings, seminars, events and actions with the involvement of various stakeholders

CRETHIDEV participates in projects in the areas of skills development using blended learning approaches and promoting online training to address skills shortages and modernize business practices. In this context, CRETHIDEV participated among others, in the following EU-funded projects:

(a) FoodQA-Fostering Academia-Industry Collaboration in Food Safety and Quality focused on strengthening and enhancing the role of universities and industry in food sector

(b) CLICHA – Climate Change focused on supporting the modernization and internationalization of higher education in the context of environmental protection, and

(c) Hyperclean4HORECA focused to equip HORECA staff with the skills to ensure compliance with relevant EU legislation.

Access our e-learning platform

As a result of the triflim project, an online training platform based on Moodle will be developed. All the contents have been developed collaboratively by the team of project partners and are available from this platform.
